Dames at Practice
Are you seeking a fun way to get fit? Stay fit? Did you know that Roller Skating burns more than 700 calories per hour?

Sound interesting? The Birmingham Blitz Derby Dames compete against national and international teams on a regular basis. To get ourselves in shape for this we have regular practices at local leisure centres in the Birmingham area.

We invite all new starters to our open practice on Saturdays. This is our basic skills practice and your opportunity to come along, check it out, take part and see if this is the sport for you. If you are part of our bouting team, there are more practices to attend each week to work on scrimmaging and getting you ready for competition.

Contact us for practice, or just come along and watch if you are curious. If you want to have a go at skating then the practice dues are £5 to help cover the cost of hiring the venue. It's free to watch though!

We have a limited number of skates and pads for hire in various sizes for £1.50. These are available on a first come first served basis! If you can, please get some knee/elbow pads, wrist guards and a mouth guard.

Basic skating instruction is available as well as working on the fundamental skills of the game - plus some fun games as well- fancy playing Roller Dodgeball?!
