Your Story:
I grew up in Rubery. I have always loved to skate from a very young age! I Joined the Birmingham Dames February 2008 after seeking a new challenge in life following a horrid year at work in 2007 when I felt like I was losing the strength to chase challenges! Dave said to me go and give it a go. Although he thinks I took one look at him playing Rugby and thought that sport was for wimps so searched for something more hard core! The girls helped to pick me up when I was down by encouraging me to skate away my troubles. I am now a stronger person and ready for all of life’s challenges. It was a very good decision to join the team. I look forward to my future as a Roller Derby Girl, I am determined however long it takes me I will do my first bout. So you must come and watch! So why Ruby Rebellion because I like the name Ruby, red is dangerous and can be mysterious and everyone who knows me thinks I am a rebel, watch your backs on the track there’s a devious side to me if you upset me!
