    THE TRACK THE GAME

At the first whistle blow the Blockers set off in a tight pack - pushing and blocking (using their hips or shoulders to knock other players off balance or get in their way) as the pivots set the pace. When the pack has moved 20ft, the whistle blows again for the Jammers to start their race.

They dodge and weave their way through the pack while their opponents try to knock them down or out of bounds. Jammers to not score points on their first time through the pack, they are fighting to be first and clear the pack without penalties - becoming the Lead Jammer. This will allow her to call off the jam before the full 2 minutes if it will benefit her team.

The Jammers continue to race around the track and attempt to break through the pack again. This time the Jammers score one point for each opponent they pass legally. Typically this means 4 points per pass through the pack, with an additional point if she does a 'grand slam' and laps the other Jammer!
